UNIQUE 1966 WORLD CUP SET OF 22 SQUAD PLAYERS AUTOGRAPHS + EXTRAS ALF RAMSEY ETC England 1966 World Cup, super rare unique item of player owned autograph memorabilia, purported to have belonged to Alan Ball or George Eastham, given to a family who had connections with Arsenal FC. This postcard measuring 15cm x 10.6cm depicts an image of the squad, manager, coaching staff plus team doctor, on a harbour – canal cruise in Copenhagen, whilst on their pre-tournament Scandinavian tour. These photo postcards were produced in Copenhagen only, never commercially sold anywhere else. It' not known how many of the players and staff had one of these b/w landscape postcard photographs, one for sure was Gordon Banks. So these two players at least had one each and as a momento proceeded to get their teammates and staff to sign for them. This item is signed by the full 22 man squad, Gordon Banks, Ray Wilson, George Cohen, Bobby Moore, Jack Charlton, Alan Ball, Nobby Stiles, Martin Peters, Bobby Charlton, Roger Hunt, Geoff Hurst, Ron Springett, Peter Bonetti, Ron Flowers, Norman Hunter, Jimmy Armfield, John Connelly, Gerry Byrne, Ian Callaghan, Terry Paine, Jimmy Greaves, George Eastham, manager Sir Alf Ramsey, trainer Harold Shepherdson, assistant trainer Les Cocker and the super rare autograph of the team doctor, Dr Alan Bass. The summer of 1966 the England squad undertook a four - match tour of Scandanavia and on July 3rd, the day of the third match in Copenhagen, Ramsey announced to the press, the England squad for the imminent World Cup. All original autographs from the time, some creasin, plus handling as you'd expect from an item being over 60 years old, it has been stored nice and flat for past 15 years out of sunlight.
